Privacy Policy
CliniPool respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, why and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Data controller
The controller of your data is KISSAI srl, a company incorporated under Belgian law. For any question regarding your data, contact support@clinipool.com.
2. Data collected
Stored locally on your device: your installations (volume, dimensions, equipment), your chemical analyses (pH, FC, etc.), your product inventory, your application history, your preferences.
Stored on the server (if an account is created): your email address, a unique identifier, your subscription status.
Stored temporarily (photos): photos of test strips, pumps or pools sent for AI analysis — deleted immediately after processing, never stored.
3. Purposes of processing
Your data is used to:
- provide chemical analysis and recommendations;
- improve diagnostics through personal progressive learning (your data remains yours, never shared);
- send you useful notifications (filtration, events, weather) — only if you have authorized it;
- ensure the security of the service.
4. Data NOT collected
CliniPool does NOT collect:
- your precise location without consent (only your pool’s coordinates, entered manually or via accepted geolocation);
- your contacts, calendar or photos beyond explicit use;
- biometric data;
- financial information (payments go through the App Store / Google Play, never through CliniPool).
5. Data retention
Your local data is kept for as long as the app is installed. Server data (if you have an account) is kept for as long as your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of account closure.
6. Data sharing
Your data is never sold. It may be shared with:
- Anthropic (AI analysis of photos) — data processed without storage;
- Supabase (user account hosting) — only if you create an account;
- Open-Meteo (weather) — approximate GPS coordinates only.
7. Your GDPR rights
In accordance with Articles 12 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access: view your data via the JSON export;
- Rectification: modify your data directly in the app;
- Erasure (right to be forgotten): delete your data or your account;
- Portability: export your data in standard JSON format;
- Objection: refuse certain processing (notifications, statistics);
- Restriction: temporarily restrict processing.

8. Security
Your data is protected by encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt algorithm). No sensitive information is stored in plain text.
9. Cookies and trackers
CliniPool does NOT use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. No advertising is displayed in the app.
10. Minors
CliniPool is intended for users aged 16 and over. No data from users under 16 is knowingly collected. If you believe a minor is using the app without parental consent, contact support@clinipool.com.
11. Changes to this policy
Any substantial change will be notified to you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect.
12. Complaints
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium): contact@apd-gba.be.
Only the French and English versions of this privacy policy are legally binding. The other translations are provided for information only.
